The role:
Reporting to the store manager you will provide the highest level of customer service and sales support across a range of products including pumps, irrigation and outdoor power products. You will respond to retail and trade customer enquiries and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction. You will also negotiate with suppliers to ensure customer needs are met and perform data entry of orders, generate quotes and job order documentation whilst maintaining a welcoming, friendly and well-presented store environment.

The successful candidate:
The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, an ability to develop strong customer relations and complete tasks to a high standard. Applicants with qualifications or experience in plumbing, irrigation, pumps or outdoor power equipment sales and service are encouraged to apply. The Role:

The position is full-time.

What you will be doing:
You will complete a Certificate III Retail over 24 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience.

Throughout your training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Greet and respond to customer enquiries.
  • Counter Sales – using POS with integrated Eftpos, handling cash, deliveries etc.
  • Customer Service – build relationships with customers at a high standard, in person & over the phone.
  • General workplace housekeeping.
  • Answering & directing all incoming calls to appropriate team members/departments.
  • Receiving & rotating stock, rolling stocktakes, stacking shelves and product displays.

The Role
Reporting to the Directors, your primary responsibility will be to diagnose, repair, maintain and install a range of irrigation equipment for our customers. This will involve, but not limited to, diagnosing, create a solution and carry out works to meet the needs of our customers, whether in the field or in-store as required, completion of all relevant paperwork relating to jobs undertaken both in the workshop and on site, materials take-off and ordering of parts and equipment as required, plan external jobs in conjunction with other staff members and managers in addition to the provision of technical advice and sales support to customers in-store and over the phone.

The Successful Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will have 2 years of experience in pump repairs and installation of irrigation equipment. You will demonstrate a sound knowledge of a variety of pump types, the ability to diagnose problems and implement efficient solutions, a proven track record as an effective team player as well as a strong passion for superior customer service delivery. C Class driver licence will be mandatory, as will the completion of a Cert III in Irrigation or equivalent. Flexibility with working hours as weekend work may be required on a roster basis. The preferred candidate must also be willing to travel for training and work as and when necessary.

You will have a proven track record as an effective team player and leader, strong passion for superior customer service delivery and a drivers licence will be mandatory.  A Cert III in Irrigation or equivalent will be highly desired as will the flexibility with working hours as weekend work will be required on a roster basis.
