The Role:

Reporting to the General Manager, your primary responsibility will be to diagnose, repair, maintain and install a range of irrigation, pump and filtration equipment for our customers. This will involve, but not limited to, diagnosing, create a solution and carry out works to meet the needs of our customers, whether in the field or in-store as required, completion of all relevant paperwork relating to jobs undertaken both in the workshop and on site, materials take-off and ordering of parts and equipment as required, plan external jobs in conjunction with other staff members and managers in addition to the provision of technical advice and sales support to customers in-store and over the phone.

 

The Successful Candidate:

To be successful in this role you must have 1-3 years’ experience in irrigation pumping industry. You will demonstrate a sound knowledge of a variety of pump types, the ability to diagnose problems and implement efficient solutions, a proven track record as an effective team player as well as a strong passion for superior customer service delivery. A drivers C class will be mandatory. Completion of a Cert III in Irrigation or equivalent, although not a necessity would be an advantage. Flexibility with working hours as Saturday morning work is required on a roster basis. The preferred candidate must also be willing to travel for training and work as and when necessary.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • External field work
  • Consult with customers and contractors throughout all stages of the project and manage resources including vehicles required, stock record keeping, stock management
  • Accurately describe product features and benefits; technical advice and sales support to customers when required

The Successful Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of three years in retail within the irrigation or similar sectors, the ability to diagnose problems and implement efficient solutions and a proven track record as an effective team player.  You will also have a strong passion for superior customer service delivery, a class C driver’s licence will be mandatory, as well your flexibility with working hours as weekend work may be required on a roster basis.

You will have a proven track record as an effective team player and leader, strong passion for superior customer service delivery and a drivers licence will be mandatory.  A Cert III in Irrigation or equivalent will be highly desired as will the flexibility with working hours as weekend work will be required on a roster basis.

Think Water Peats Ridge is a specialist water solutions and outdoor power equipment business located on the NSW Central Coast. We are focused on the design, supply and installation of quality pump and irrigation systems as well as retail sales and workshop servicing of a range of outdoor power equipment including Stihl and Honda. We are currently offering a great opportunity for an experienced, driven Sales Person to join our team.

The role:
Reporting to the store manager you will provide the highest level of customer service and sales support across a range of products including pumps, irrigation and outdoor power products. You will respond to retail and trade customer enquiries and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction. You will also negotiate with suppliers to ensure customer needs are met and perform data entry of orders, generate quotes and job order documentation whilst maintaining a welcoming, friendly and well-presented store environment.

The successful candidate:
The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, an ability to develop strong customer relations and complete tasks to a high standard. Applicants with qualifications or experience in plumbing, irrigation, pumps or outdoor power equipment sales and service are encouraged to apply. Strong computer skills, problem solving skills and inventory management skills will be highly regarded. Applicants must have drivers’ license and be available to work Saturday mornings.
