Due to business growth and growth in the region, we now require a Field Service Technician to join our team and lead from the front.
The Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, your primary responsibility will be to diagnose, repair, maintain and install a range of irrigation, pump and filtration equipment for our customers. This will involve, but not limited to, diagnosing, create a solution and carry out works to meet the needs of our customers, whether in the field or in-store as required, completion of all relevant paperwork relating to jobs undertaken both in the workshop and on site, materials take-off and ordering of parts and equipment as required, plan external jobs in conjunction with other staff members and managers in addition to the provision of technical advice and sales support to customers in-store and over the phone.
The Successful Candidate:
To be successful in this role you must have 1-3 years’ experience in irrigation pumping industry. You will demonstrate a sound knowledge of a variety of pump types, the ability to diagnose problems and implement efficient solutions, a proven track record as an effective team player as well as a strong passion for superior customer service delivery. A drivers C class will be mandatory. Completion of a Cert III in Irrigation or equivalent, although not a necessity would be an advantage. Flexibility with working hours as Saturday morning work is required on a roster basis. The preferred candidate must also be willing to travel for training and work as and when necessary.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that repairs and maintenance to our equipment are carried out in a safe & efficient manner, using methods and practices established in the repair trade.
You will ensure that all items leaving the workshop are safe and fit for operational purposes and work in a safe manner consistent with our Occupational Health & Safety Policy.
The Successful Candidate:
To be successful in this role you must have a proven track record of achievement in a similar role. A relevant qualification and experience in the pumping & irrigation industry is desired but not essential.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to meet the following selection criteria:
Installation, maintenance and repair of irrigation and pumping systems including assisting other service technicians to ensure job is carried out according to design and company guidelines;
Liaise with Sales Engineer / Project Manager to ensure adherence to specification and install within nominated timeframe;
Study plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations;
Installation and repairs to pipe, pipe connections, pumps, filtration, and irrigation equipment on site;
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine accurate and effective solutions;
Completion of all job documentation in accordance with company guidelines;
Attend supplier training sessions as required – these may include interstate travel;
Ensure company vehicles and equipment is secure from theft or unauthorised use;
Work vehicle and work related equipment is kept clean and tidy at all times;
Ensure implementation of business decisions;
Ensure all key issues are effectively communicated to all internal and external stakeholders in a concise and timely manner;
Proactive participation in weekly team meetings;
Follow all directives that are given to you, either verbally or in writing.
