Recognising a gap in the Northern Tasmanian market, Think Water Smithton owners, Conrad Odgers and Jodie Wainwright, have invested in opening their second Think Water store in Spreyton on the Cradle Coast.
Think Water Cradle Coast is located in the region known as Cradle Coast which runs from Burnie in the west to Deloraine in the east, centred around the town of Devonport. Known as Tasmania’s produce food bowl, the region has many high-value horticulture properties in need of irrigation services along with many beef and dairy farms. There are also numerous residential customers enjoying the acreage lifestyle around the many smaller towns in this area.
Conrad and Jodie are keen to open up opportunities along the coast to complement their existing Smithton store, which has grown significantly since it was purchased five years ago. The Smithton market has constraints being in the north-western corner of Tasmania, so heading east into more horticultural irrigation markets is a logical business move.
Customers are crying out for a full-service business including pump repairs, irrigation system design and irrigation servicing for centre pivots and pump stations, along with a well-stocked trade store. While the Cradle Coast showroom is small there is plenty of stock, and demands can be met from the Smithton store.
The business will provide services to industrial, commercial, residential and agricultural clients in the markets of pumps, filtration, water treatment, water tanks, irrigation and Reinke centre pivots to name a few. The site is well located at Spreyton offering customers easy truck access and plenty of hardstand.
The store is managed by Brendon Glover who has extensive irrigation experience from running a successful outdoor maintenance franchise for five years. Brendon is highly qualified in the art of irrigation system design, servicing and installation. With a strong retail customer service approach, Brendon is also available to assist you with product selection and sales.
